A full slate of Atlantic Sires Stakes events will be the highlight of several race cards during Lobster Carnival Week activities in Summerside, PEI, this week.
On Tuesday evening the two- and three-year-old Atlantic Sires Stakes trotters will meet for the first time this season at Red Shores Summerside Raceway. Three divisions of the freshmen trotters will each go for a purse pool of $5,260, meanwhile the sophomores will go in two divisions for $7,180. First race post time on Tuesday is 7 pm.
On Wednesday evening the two-year-old pacing fillies will take to the Summerside oval. Three ‘A’ divisions will each compete for $8,880 in purse monies and three ‘B’ divisions will round out the race card.
The two-year-old pacing colts will take to the track on Thursday evening and the Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action will continue on Friday and Saturday when the three-year-old pacing fillies and colts roll into town.
