Two-year-old rising star, Counting on Connie, remained undefeated, winning her fourth consecutive start in Maine Sire Stakes action today at Scarborough Downs.

Heath Campbell steered the gray daughter of Derrybeg confidently to the top, never to look back, en route to the leisure jog around the oval in a moderate 2:09.

Owned and trained by Tony Dearborn of Exeter, Maine, Counting on Connie increased her career bankroll by $5,500 approaching $12,000 in lifetime earnings.

Other stakes winners on Thursday were: Song of Virtue (Gordon Corey), Obrigado (Ivan Davies).

Live racing resumes at Scarborough Downs on Friday and Saturday, with a 4 pm post, and the Sunday matinee at 1:05 pm.
