Mymomsablizzard (CR Excalibur) put in a monster mile to win Friday's feature at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. Leading driver Billy Dobson sat behind the trotting mare who had the daunting task of beating the boys in the $18,500 open trot.
Mymomsablizzard wound up first-over on the race’s favourite Pembroke Prayer (Vince Ginsburg) and ground him into submission before recording the win in 1:55.2. Flex The Muscle (Jay Randall) came on for second while Sand Wyndham (Bruce Aldrich Jr) earned the show spot.
The win time was the fastest for any trotter at the track this season and also served as a track record for trotting mares. The six-year-old registered the 20th win of her career with the open score. Mymomsablizzard is trained by Allan Johnson for owners Robert Weinstein and Michael Casalino Jr.
