The fourth leg of the Friendship Pacing Series was conducted on Saturday night at Kawartha Downs and Anderlecht won the lone $12,000 division in 1:52.
Starting from the pole position under the direction of Gord Brown, Anderlecht was in first through fractions of :27, :56.2, and 1:24.3. A :27.2 final kicker followed those panels, which got Anderlecht home two and a half lengths ahead of second-place finisher Straight Shooting (Brad Rae). Amazon Art (Jonathan Drury) was the third-place finisher.
Igor Vrablic trains Anderlecht, a seven-year-old son of Cams Card Shark, for owners Black Road Stable and Point Zero Seven Racing. Anderlecht has a trio of triumphs from 13 starts this year, and he has 24 career victories. He has banked $52,120 in 2012 and $669,425 in his life.
