Lets Getit Started Impressive In Invitational
Feb 27

Lets Getit Started, who was a six-figure claim last Saturday night at Meadowlands Racetrack, made his debut in the $32,000 invitational pace this Saturday a winning one, halting the clock in 1:50.1.

Internationalstyle (Ron Pierce) put up the :27.2 opening fraction with Lets Getit Started (Dan Dube) dropping into the pocket. Internationalstyle then surrendered the point to Share The Delight (Yannick Gingras) as the field raced up the backstretch.

Share The Delight hit the half in a speedy :54.3, and then Art At Heart (George Brennan) made the first-over sacrifice on the far turn, making it up beside the pace-setter at the 1:22.1 three-quarter mile clocking.

In the stretch, Share The Delight continued to hold a tenuous advantage, but Lets Getit Started, who had been shuffled back on the inside on the far turn, found room at the pylons to rally, and he would get up inside the final sixteenth to score by a length and a half. Mr Hallowell (Dave Miller) rallied from last at three-quarters to get third while Share The Delight was third.
