After a win and a second place finish in the preliminary rounds of the Tie Silk Series, Bloodstockshalltab found the wire when it counted the most in Thursday’s $32,700 final at Woodbine.
Trained by Ben Wallace and owned by Brad Grant, the son of Cantab Hall captured the tilt in a career best clocking of 1:56.3.

You Rock My World (Sylvain Filion) quickly marched to the front past the opening station in :28. Bloodstockshalltab (Jody Jamieson) was in the pocket with Brewmaster (Anthony MacDonald) sitting third.
Filion and You Rock My Would continued to lead past the half in :57.4 while Muscle On Broadway (Paul MacDonell) began the first-over attack. That allowed Hamdalla (Riina Rekila) to catch cover and Rock Of Cashel (Alan Richardson) was suddenly sitting three-wide.
You Rock My World and Muscle On Broadway went toe to toe past three-quarters in 1:26.3, but it was Bloodstockshalltab sitting chilly in the pocket and was able to split horses in deep stretch to cruise to the comfortable score. You Rock My World finished second with Just Make Believe (Scott Zeron) third.
Developed by Joe Hudon, Bloodstockshalltab entered the Wallace barn following auction at the January Select Mixed Sale at The Meadowlands.
“The trip worked out great,” Wallace said following the win. “We bought this colt to aim him for this and for the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes. It’s great when things work out like they’re supposed to.”
With an impressive 4-2-2 record this season from nine starts, Bloodstockshalltab increased his seasonal earnings to $47,990. The gelding’s career bankroll now sits at $60,670.
