Panther Hanover To Saunders
Mar 4

New Jersey horseman Bruce Saunders will be taking over the training duties of four-year-old Panther Hanover later this month.

Owner Jim Carr of Freelton, Ontario confirmed that the Rocknroll Hanover son will finish his winter prep work with James 'Friday' Dean the end of the month and then the horse will be shipped to Saunders' base at Magical Acres.

"The horse has 10 races that he is eligible for in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It just made sense to send him to Bruce rather than have Friday running all over the place when he has a bunch of others to look after," said Carr.

"Panther is very good. Friday has got that pus pocket problem behind him now and he'll soon be ready."

Last season Panther Hanover won the $275,000 New Jersey Classic in 1:47.2 and finished the season with $346,012 in winnings.
