The $3 million dollar winner stood at Empire Stallions during his Southern Hemisphere stay. Last season was a year of firsts for the now eight-year-old Somebeachsomewhere.
It was his first time shuttling downunder and also marked the debut of his first crop which proved to be sensational. He was the number one sire for rookie pacers last season, with his progeny earning $4.7 million, more than two million dollars more than second place Art Major.
Captaintreacherous, Somebeachsomewhere’s richest performer from his initial crop, was the first rookie in 25 years to be named Pacer of the Year in the US. (Hanover photo)
His top performers last season included Captaintreacherous ($911,000), Somwherovrarainbow ($522,000); L Dees Lioness ($468,000); etc. His 2013 book, with a stud fee of $20,000, is closed.
