Sometimes we take for granted the efforts made by tracks to entice new visitors and consider something such as a giveaway mundane and predictable. However, it behooves us all to examine what tracks do to encourage attendance at their track as shown in the newest letter to our mailbox.
A racing fans describes how she accompanied a co-worker to Western Fair last weekend after he had heard a television spot for the Molson Pace. It describes all the special things the track and its employees did that night to ensure that his first visit to a racetrack was positive and memorable (and it didn’t hurt that his picks in the big race cashed tickets for him).
