Top Swedish trotter Tsar d'Inverne has been euthanized due to complications from an accident two years ago.
Tsar d'Inverne is best known to North American fans for racing in the 2004 Maple Leaf Trot where the son of Arnaqueur won his elimination and finished second in the final for Luc Ouellette. The horse took his lifetime mark of 1:54.2 in the Maple Leaf elim and earned just over a million dollars in his career.
The highlight was his win in the $400,000 Swedish Trotting Derby in 2003. Throughout his career the seven-year-old was trained by Robert Bergh.
