Hudonís Mares 1-2 At Fraser
Mar 19

John Hudonís pacing mare Dream N Of Mona recorded her fourth consecutive win this afternoon at Fraser Downs. Hudon was at the lines behind the six-year-old If I Can Dream mare who was three lengths the best in 1:55.3.

Her stablemate from Hudonís barn, Viola, finished second for his cousin Dave Hudon. Favoured Katie Snoops was third.

It was the fifth win of the season in nine tries for Dream N Of Mona, a claim for Hudon back in October. Hudon owns both the winner and second place finisher, Viola, a nine-year-old Camcracker daughter who is no 2-4-1 in 10 trips behind the gate this year.

Hudon was also victorious in the second race on the card as he gave Mach Silver a front end 1:56.4 trip for trainer/owner Sam Robinson of Surrey, BC. It was just the third lifetime start, and second win for the Mach Three four-year-old mare whose dam is a full sister to $2.1 million winner Admirals Express.

In the Open pace on the afternoon Illwinifican gave his trainer and co-owner Dennis Johnston a 1:53.1 ride over Comes Home First and Sabino Pass.

Johnston shares ownership of the Allamerican Native five-year-old gelding with Ray Thomson. The consistent pacer is 4-3-0 in nine starts so far this year.

Bred by Hanover Shoe Farms, Illwinifican is the first foal from Builtowin Hanover.
