A first-over Showmeyourstuff (Marcus Miller) got to within a head of the leader at three-quarters, but in the stretch Rock Hollywood put Showmeyourstuff and the rest of the field away as he trotted clear to tally by three and a half lengths in 1:54. Powerful Speed (Todd Warren) was the runner-up and Muscatine (Dale Hiteman) came in third.
