Unbounded River Scores In Sarnia
Jul 29

Unbounded River used a first-over trip to win the $10,000 preferred-2 trot on Thursday night at Hiawatha Horse Park. The final clocking of the mile was 1:57.2.

Race favourite Great Emancipator (Brad Kramer) was on the front end through stations of :27.1, :58.3, and 1:27.4, but Unbounded River (Simon Allard) was just three-quarters of a length behind the leader at three-quarters.

Great Emancipator put up the white flag in the stretch, and Unbounded River struck the lead. From there, he trotted away to triumph by two lengths. Weskey (Trevor Henry) was the runner-up and Breewood Gringo (Stephen Loughran) got third.

Richard Moreau trains Unbounded River, an eight-year-old Silver Pine gelding, for Dutch owner Entr Van Dooijeweerd B V. This was Unbounded River's third win from 13 starts this year and his 12th career victory. He has now banked $32,000 in 2010 and $207,149 lifetime.
