MacKenzie’s fourth winner was in the final contest of the 12 race program in the $13,500 Preferred Pace as he got Pacific Oak up to nip Button Up at the wire in 1:54.2. Park Shark was third. It was the second win this year for the seven-year-old Pacific Rocket gelding owned by Shirley and Kerry House of St. Jacobs and trained by Ken Oliver.

Forward’s Preferred victor was Kashas Kid who held off Sand Wyndham in the $13,500 Preferred Trot to win in 1:58. Connected Yankee took third. Trainer Rene Allard of Quebec owns the winner, a five-year-old gelding by Andover Hall who was notching his third win in seven tries this season.

MacKenzie also had his photo taken with Emerald Jaguar (1:58.2), Casimirbadmoonrisn (1:56.2) and Lookin For A Fight (1:55.4) while Forward’s other victories were with Sharon The Moment (1:57.3), Lexilowguy (1:56.4) and Dextra Effort (1:58.3).

Also of note on today’s card was Lady Latte’s 1:55.3 effort in the $11,500 Mares Preferred Pace, her ninth win so far in 2010. The $10,000 Preferred 2 Pace saw $550,000 winner Carnivore roll to a 1:56 win for Doug McNair.
