J.R. Plante put the finishing touches on his best career year to date with a five-win performance on the 14-dash Thursday afternoon program at Flamboro Downs.
Plante and trainer Laeticia Maslia joined up for two wins together. That duo won the second race with Folie Duharas [2:02] and were back in the winner's circle in the eighth race with Supreme Action [2:00].
Plante also took the fourth race with Fast As You [2:04] for trainer Tracey Steeves; the fifth race with County Corruption [1:59] for trainer Rene Allard, and the 13th race with Allamerican Laser [1:57.3] for trainer Ken Switzer.
This was Plante's best year in terms of both races won and earnings as he had 338 victories and $1.85 million in earnings. In his career, Plante has 990 wins and earnings of $5.71 million.
