Tiz To Dream has been a dream come true for trainer and co-owner Gregg McNair and Paul Kidd who purchased her for a mere $9,000 at last year’s Forest City Sale.
The talented distaffer has now banked over $313,000 thanks in no small part to her victory in tonight’s $103,259 Bud Light Stakes for two-year-old pacing fillies at Flamboro Downs.
McNair’s son Doug was in the sulky behind the Grinfromeartoear lass and he put her on the engine early from post one. They sped through splits of :27.2, :56.3 and 1:25.4 enroute to a 1:54.2 two length victory over Racy Gal Hanover (Modern Art) and Ticket To Rock (Rocknroll Hanover).
It was the six win in 16 starts this year for Tiz To Dream who finished a very close third in last weekend’s $300,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final at Woodbine. The filly has more than $313,000 on her card thus far and has only missed a cheque once in her young career.
Bred by Kentuckiana Farms, the Tiz To Dream is the second foal of the Jate Lobell mare Extreme Dream. Her 2008 foal, a colt by Western Terror, was purchased at this year's Lexington Select Sale by Dustin Jones for $120,000.
